MY LIFE IN GOLF

HOW IT STARTED...

My parents divorced when I was nine. My mom worked long hours and she would drop me off at the golf course on her way to work, using “golf” as my baby-sitter, and I fell in love with the game. I didn’t spend much time with my dad; probably the best thing he ever did for me was to tell me, “I’d never make a living in golf.” Proudly, I proved him wrong. Golf has given me many friends, my wife, and a livelihood for my family. Golf has taken me from a kid who simply loved the game of golf, to a District Director for The PGA of America, something that I never dreamed or even thought about.

I have a burning passion to continue to give back to this wonderful game that has given so much to me. The opportunity to run for Secretary of the PGA of America is a humbling experience. We are all PGA pros 24/7, and as a PGA professional I will always do my best to represent the nearly 30,000 members to the best of my ability.

I am grateful to the South Central Section, Hot Springs Country Club, and my family, for believing in me and for their support in my run for Secretary of The PGA of America.
